Support through pregnancy

Pregnancy changes more than your growing belly. We support pelvic health, movement, common symptoms and feeding preparation so you can address concerns before they become something you simply live with.

For all care, we also look at lifestyle factors like diet, sleep, movement, and supplements or medications when indicated.

What to expect

  1. Positive test

    Early pregnancy visit

Confirmation, dating, a full history and the first set of labs.

  2. Any time

    Pelvic health

Pelvic floor therapy is useful during pregnancy rather than only afterwards. Your clinician assesses what is appropriate for you.

  3. Third trimester

    Prenatal lactation consultation

Feeding is easiest to plan before the baby arrives. A prenatal consultation covers latch, supply and what to expect.

  4. Ongoing

    Movement

Prenatal classes scaled to the trimester you are actually in.

  5. When needed

    Escalation and referral

Care that needs an obstetric practice or a hospital is referred, and we stay with you for the rest.

Questions, answered

Can I do pelvic floor therapy during pregnancy?

Often, yes. Pelvic floor therapy can address pain, pressure, leaking and birth preparation during pregnancy. Your clinician will determine what is appropriate for you.

When should I meet with a lactation consultant?

You can start before birth. A prenatal visit gives you time to talk through feeding goals, history and potential challenges before your baby arrives.

Can pregnancy care be virtual?

Yes. Many visits are available virtually across North Carolina, with in-person care in Carolina Beach when an exam or hands-on assessment is needed.

Do I need a studio membership?

No. Clinical care is available whether or not you are a studio member.
