Mastitis, nipple trauma, and supply concerns that require medication are treated by our women’s health clinicians in the same practice. A lactation visit and a medical visit can be scheduled together.
Prenatal lactation consultation is available for those planning to breastfeed after a previous difficult experience, with a known risk factor for low supply, or with a history of breast surgery.
Lactation care is documented for both parent and infant. Some plans cover lactation services under the infant’s benefit. We verify coverage before the visit.
