Virtual care

Virtual women’s health care across North Carolina

Video visits with licensed North Carolina providers for hormonal, metabolic, perimenopause, lactation and postpartum care. Labs drawn near you. In-person care in Carolina Beach.

How virtual care works

You book a free 15-minute call with our patient care coordinator, who confirms your insurance and matches you to a provider. Your first visit is a scheduled video appointment from your phone or computer. Your provider takes a full history, orders labs when needed, and sends a written plan to your patient portal the same day.

Labs are drawn at a site near you. Prescriptions go to your local pharmacy. Follow-ups are scheduled by video, and results are reviewed with you, not just posted.

What can be treated virtually

Perimenopause and menopause, including hormone therapy and non-hormonal options. Menstrual and hormonal conditions such as PCOS, irregular cycles and heavy bleeding. Metabolic health and medically supervised weight management. Lactation concerns, including those that need medication. Postpartum recovery and perinatal mood concerns. Contraception and preventive counseling. Skin conditions that can be assessed by photo and video.

What needs an in-person visit

Pelvic floor therapy, pelvic examinations, IUD and implant placement, injections, and any concern that requires a physical examination, imaging or a procedure. These are done in Carolina Beach or arranged with a partner practice near you. Your virtual provider stays involved either way.

Insurance

Video visits are billed to insurance the same way office visits are, and North Carolina requires most plans to cover telehealth at parity with in-person care. We are in network with most major plans and verify your benefits before the visit. Self-pay pricing is published on our Insurance and Pricing page.

Common questions

Is a virtual visit as good as an in-person visit?

For history-based and lab-driven conditions, yes. Hormonal, metabolic and menopause care is largely diagnosed by history and labs and managed by medication and follow-up, all of which work by video. Conditions that need an examination are scheduled in person.

Can you order labs and imaging?

Yes. Labs are ordered to a draw site near you. Imaging is ordered to a facility near you, and results come back to us.

Can you prescribe hormone therapy virtually?

Yes, when it is appropriate after history and labs. Controlled substances have additional federal and state rules and may require an in-person visit.

I live outside North Carolina. Can I be seen?

Not yet. Our providers are licensed in North Carolina. Use the Request Care link at the top of the page to join our list and we will notify you when your state opens.
