The Method
Our signature movement method at EMBODY. A mat-based practice combining breath, body, and the beat — for a fully embodied experience.
A workout designed to move you.
Built in 3 intentional layers.
Every SPORTBODY class is engineered around three elements — breath, body, and beat — woven together so the work feels less like a workout and more like an experience.
Breath
Every class begins by establishing breath — awareness, rhythm, and pace. Breath sets your internal tempo and builds the foundation for safety, presence, and a regulated nervous system. Before we move, we land.
Body
Movement is layered on top with clear, accessible alignment cues. The body becomes the vehicle through which breath is expressed — strength, stability, and integrity in every posture, every count, every rep.
Beat
The final layer is intentionally curated sound. Music is selected to complement the physiological and energetic state of the room — reinforcing breath, supporting transitions, and elevating the experience without ever overpowering it.
When breath, body, and beat align, the class becomes cohesive, embodied, and immersive — a practice you can feel long after you roll up your mat.
Four ways to practice the method.
Move between them as your body asks.
A 45-minute high-energy, low-impact workout that blends foundational yoga postures, cardio, weights, and high rep theory for a full-body burn.
A 45-minute high-energy, low-impact workout that blends pilates movements, weights, and high rep theory for a full-body burn.
A 60-minute sculpt class combining foundational yoga postures, cardio strength training, and low-impact conditioning to build heat, strength, and full-body tone.
A 45-minute high-energy low-impact workout that blends barre movements, weights, and high rep theory for a full-body burn.
Heat with a purpose. Or unheated by choice.
Most SPORTBODY classes are practiced in our infrared-heated studio. Unlike traditional forced-air heat, infrared warms your body directly — penetrating into muscle and tissue rather than just the air around you. The result is a deeper, more even warmth that lengthens fascia, expands range of motion, supports circulation, encourages a productive sweat, and helps your nervous system settle into the work.
Beyond the room, infrared heat is widely associated with benefits like improved recovery, reduced muscle soreness, and a calmer post-class state.
If heated isn't your speed, all formats are also offered non-heated. The schedule indicates which classes are heated and which run cool, so you can choose your best fit.
What to expect.
- Arrive 10 minutes early — we'll get you set up, walk you through the room, and answer any questions before class starts.
- Bring water and a mat. Mat rentals are available for $5 — complimentary for members. Props are provided.
- Wear what moves with you. Most classes are barefoot or in grip socks; comfortable athletic wear is all you need.
- Listen to your body. Modifications are offered every class. Working at your level is the work.
Teach the method. Deepen your practice. Or both.
SPORTBODY is more than a class on the schedule — it's a practice and a lifestyle. We're looking for instructors who want to learn the SPORTBODY way, deepen their own practice, and take center mat.
